How Do You Treat People Who Serve You?

One of the greatest tests of character is how you treat people who are trying to serve you.  Often times when I am going to our apartment to work on few things, I have to get down from the car and walk to open the main gate for our car to pass through.  The security man sometimes gets tired and takes a stroll due to stress. I don’t complain why he is not at the gate. I understand, because I feel how he feels.
But sometimes we find ourselves in similar or different situation where most people tend to be rude. Someone who is rude and demanding in those situations has a character flaw. Eric Hoffer once said, “Rudeness is the weak man’s limitation of strength.” It takes no intelligence at all to be rude.

Courtesy is just love in the little things. It is showing respect for people by being kind even in the smallest area of our live. Jesus summed it up by saying, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.  The next time you see that waitress, secretary or persons who serves you, treat them with respect. Never be rude! Every person you meet today is worthy of your respect.
